Originally from Sweden, Christine studied Musicology at Uppsala University and singing and operatic studies at Kapellsbergs Musikskola. Christine continued her training at Birmingham Conservatoire and has since had a thriving operatic career in the UK and Europe, performing many professional roles including at Scottish Opera, London Festival Opera, Hoga Kusten Opera, Woodhouse Opera, Swansea City Opera.
Equally at home with oratorio and concert repertoire, Christine has performed at Linbury Studio at Royal Opera House, The Ashmolean Museum and Kings Place with John Lubbock and The Orchestra of St John’s, Music CoOperative Scotland (McOpera), Midlands Festival Orchestra and The Orchestra of the Swan. Recent concert repertoire include Kindertotenlieder, Il Tramonto, Sibelius 5 Christmas Songs and Sea Pictures.
As well as being a performer, Christine has taught singing for 20 years in schools, Glasgow University, Glasgow Chapel Choir and privately, as well as led community choirs and children’s choirs. Christine is a Malcolm Martineau Crear Scholar 2013.
