Lottie Brook is the Programme Manager at Luminate and enjoys working on a range of projects including care home artist residencies, support for older emerging artists and developing support for artists working within creative ageing. She believes strongly in equality of opportunity but recognises that as a sector we still have a lot of work to do and is passionate about improving it. As well as managing arts programmes, Lottie has an MA in Music Psychology and has previously worked as a choir leader, instrumental teacher and creative practitioner.
Luminate is Scotland’s Creative Ageing organisation, working to ensure all older people in Scotland can enjoy high quality arts and creative activities, whatever their background and circumstances and wherever they live. Luminate work with people and organisations to explore new ways of working, that help more older people participate in the arts and be creative. They also provide a range of professional development opportunities for those who work creatively with older people, and for older artists themselves. A key strand of their work is the Dementia Inclusive Singing Network, that helps people affected by dementia take part in singing groups and choirs across Scotland, and also enjoy singing at home.
