Dr Kathleen Cronie is a conductor, singing teacher, and researcher. She is currently the Musical Director of Loud & Proud, Scotland’s first LGBT+ choir, and LGBT Youth Scotland’s Research Officer. She also teaches singing at the North East of Scotland Music School. Kathleen’s PhD research focused on singers’ expectations of choir leaders in the UK, and developed a model of Voice-centred Conductorship which can be used as the basis for designing and running rehearsals and concerts which take account of the singers’ needs during the process.
