Andrew McTaggart

Home Andrew McTaggart

Andy McTaggart graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and has gone on to develop a diverse career as a baritone, conductor, teacher, and leader in the field of education and outreach.

Working regularly with Scottish Opera, he creates and delivers workshops for them and directs their Specialist Music School Project, working with talented students from across. Andy is a Lecturer in Voice at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

His choral conductor work includes the roles of Musical Director of Ayr Choral Union, The Wordsworth Singers and Chorus Master of the Cumnock Tryst Festival Chorus is a regular conductor and animator with various choirs and programmes for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
