Hannah Fredsgaard is a Danish-born Glasgow based composer, songwriter and audio producer with a passion for cross arts collaboration and storytelling through sound and music. Hannah holds a BMus in Songwriting from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Aarhus and an MMus Leadership and Electronic Music from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama from where she won the Starred Award for her performance piece ‘I Grew Up With Silence’. Career highlights count critically acclaimed music releases, performances at festivals and venues in the UK and internationally, sing-along sessions for hospital in-patients, choir and songwriting sessions in schools and community centres. Hannah is a Roundhouse Resident Artist alumna and a Do it Differently Awardee. She writes and performs alt-folk songs under the musical moniker Asthmatic Harp and has recently released the EP ‘Things We Learned to Live With’.
Hannah told us: “I am looking forward to collaborating with a group of singers embarking on the joyful process of songwriting and composition. The creative journey that lies ahead of us is in this project is paved with new ideas and shared inspiration. I am excited to employ my passion and expertise as a Songwriter to compose new music that reflects this process.”
