Overview
This is a funded opportunity where song leaders can request financial and/or production support to lead an event which benefits other singing leaders in their area. Scotland Sings supports sector-led innovation, and this funding is to help build better access to training, sharing and connection across Scotland. Just fill in the form at the end of this page and we’ll get back to you to discuss your plans. If you would prefer to chat to us about your idea instead, please email us with your phone number and let us know your availability for a meeting.
We have provided an outline of the type of support we might be able to offer you below, however if you have an idea which doesn’t fit this criteria, please get in touch to discuss the support you’re looking for.
Types of events we can support
- Events which support song leaders in your area to connect and share
- Events which support a specific training need for your area
- Events which promote a new singing project or idea
- Events which help to sustain or grow existing singing projects or ideas
- We are currently looking to support events happening before the end of March 2028. The earlier you plan your event, the more practical support we can provide.
What we can’t support
- Events which are not designed for singing leaders
- Rehearsals and concerts for your own singing group / choir
- Administration, running costs, overheads, equipment or resources for your own singing group / choir
What we can offer
1. Funding
Funds may support the following types of expenditure: fees for event leaders, producing/organising, and event or technical staff, equipment hire, resources, venue hire, travel, accommodation, catering, access support.
We will co-design, agree and manage a budget with you for your event.
2. Production
In-kind support from Love Music’s production team. If you need it, we can help you structure your event and ease some of the burden of setting it up, spreading the word, or administrating it. We may not be able to accommodate every request, but will help where we can. Here are some ways we could help:
Event administration support, which could include: ticketing, setting up booking forms on our website, keeping attendee details secure in line with the GDPR, etc.
Marketing support, which could include: hosting event info on the website, helping with social media posts and planning, drafting/proofing promotional copy, etc.
Event management, which could include: production / planning with you, being there on the day of your event to support set up and technical requirements, helping to find a local producer/helper to support you on the day, providing event checklists, health and safety guidance, etc.
Assistance with evaluation, including collection of data as required by project funders.
